We want you to submit your ideas or suggestions for how regulations that impact on you as a Citizen or your organisation, whether you work in public, private or voluntary sectors, can be improved.
We are interested to hear how you think we can reduce the cost of regulation by doing things differently, for example, rationalising similar regulations or reducing information requirements.
Simply provide a description of the problem you are facing and set out what you think could be done to make this better. Try to include an estimate of the cost to you in either monetary terms or staff time and a rough estimate of the level of concern across the rest of your industry/sector.
The better the quality of evidence supporting your idea or suggestion, the easier it will be to address your concerns. If the idea or suggestion lacks sufficient information, it makes it much harder for us to see whether something can be done to improve it.
Once you have submitted your idea or suggestion, we will check your suggestion to make sure that it meets the basic requirements set out in our terms and condition. If your suggestion is accepted for consideration it will be posted on the website, where you will be able to view its progress.
If for any reason we cannot accept your suggestion, it will also be published but with a rejection code assigned explaining why.
We will respond to your ideas or suggestion within 90 days and outline whether or it has been taken forward and explaining why a particular decision has been made.
If your idea or suggestion is taken forward, you can expect to be kept informed of progress, including timescales for actual change. Please be aware that because of the legislative process, it is usually not possible to implement a change of regulation within the initial 90 day timescale.
